Eclipse

Last night, at 6:30 Mountain Time- came ” the Ring of Fire”, An annular solar eclipse.  It was quite an affair.

We live up on a bluff and in the distance, about 100 miles away is Sierra Blanca. Sierra Blanca is a big, beautiful mountain near the Apache indian reservation, casinos, mountain get aways, Ski Apache and the best little shopping walk there ever was.  But from our house it just looks like a  painted landscape and when the sky’s are clear, the view from my back door is amazing. There just is nothing like a New Mexico sunset but last night, God ” outdid His self”( as my 8-year-old would say)

As the moon was creeping over the sun, and the last  of the sun slipped behind Sierra Blanca,  it just took my breath away. So I grabbed my camera and got this shot….. Enjoy.
