Santa Fe….

We loaded up 6 of the kids and headed off to Santa Fe for spring break. What a blast.  Santa Fe is a magical place to visit, eat, dream and get inspired artistically. The rich history and evidence of a great Native American People, the many tribes of Pueblo, both past and present, caught us all by surprise and filled our hearts with crazy wonder. You just wanted to touch it all.

We Started out in Ft Sumner, home of the grave of Billy the Kid, Moved on to the Plaza, with its churches and museums in Santa fe. From there we hiked Bandelier National Monument. The final day, mostly for me, I had to go to Santa Fe Clay.  This entire trip was remarkably inspirational. I came home swimming with artistic ideas,  and a sense that  the rich culture included me.

The pictures below are a slide show of our trip. It includes Ft. Sumner, St. Francis cathedral  at Santa Fe, Loretto Chapel with its wondrous  spiral staircase, museums, Bandelier National monument  with it’s Pueblo ruins and every beautiful art piece my camera was available for.
