Belt Buckle Jewelry

Today they guys were of of town for Destination Imagination. So the girls and I took the opportunity to have kind of a girls day.   I won this  auction of vintage belt buckles, some really cool pieces. So we sat down with our leather and paper flowers and beads and tools and wire and made jewelry for hours, watched a Ghost Whisperer marathon and munched on yummy peanut butter cookies my mom made us. Yep, my mom still makes me cookies.

I was pretty amazed at the artistic eyes my girls have, they way they put color together and how patient they were while I was giving them tips and instructions.   They really had a good time and I was amazed at how into it they were. Just makes me giddy to see them love some of the same things I do.
